What is the role?

The Senior Business Analyst will provide support to the broader team by ensuring business processes are effective and efficient, business systems are well configured, and reporting is accurate and timely.

This is a new role being created due to rapid business growth.  Working closely with the VP of Finance & Accounting, you'll play a critical role in empowering the team to scale with business growth.  The person selected for this role will have the opportunity to impact every process in Finance & Accounting - becoming the ultimate subject matter expert.

What would you be doing?
  • In partnership with Data & Analytics, create, update & maintain various reporting mechanisms (both standard and ad hoc) to ensure Executive Leadership has accurate and timely visibility to performance metrics
  • Support Executive Leadership by understanding the performance metrics that impact our financial statements, analyzing the root cause of related lagging indicators in an attempt to identify leading indicators that can be leveraged for stronger results
  • Support Executive Leadership on various projects by understanding the business need, defining requirements, and working with stakeholders to implement the changes needed to realize the desired outcome
  • Create, test and continuously improve business process documentation throughout Finance & Accounting; including AR, AP, GL, FP&A, Payroll
  • As needed, execute any Finance & Accounting business process as needed to support ongoing operations
  • Short Term Assist in Implementing Oracle NetSuite (active Q2 project) and Oracle Planning (pending Q3 project); includes understanding best practice, designing and executing test scripts, and preparing for cutover
 
NOTES
  • There may be some extended hours required during the month-end close process
  • This is a hybrid role that will work onsite in our Brentwood office Monday - Thursday, and remote on Friday.  The standard business hours for this role are 8AM-5PM CT.

Are you an Excel power user with basic to intermediate SQL skills, supported by strong business intelligence tool use?  Tableau experience a plus

Do you have a passion to tinker and continuously improve processes?  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt a plus
Do you have a degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with at least two years of relevant work experience?
